Jenny’s Bio

Following completion of her BA in Business Administration at Bowling Green University in Ohio, Jenny joined a large financial services company in Houston, eventually achieving the title of Marketing Manager. During this period she gained over twenty years of experience writing business communications, assembling retirement plan documents, and preparing executive presentations.

In 2005, she decided to leave her job and become a full-time mother for her two sons, ages 7 and 10. Over the past four years, she has served in many community activities including the school PTA fundraiser committee, Sunday school teacher, and Neighborhood Representative. Jenny stays actively in touch with children by volunteering for various functions where her two sons attend elementary school and church.

Jenny lives in Missouri City, Texas (southwest of Houston) with her husband and two sons.

Jenny is a member of SCBWI and actively participates in an on-line nonfiction writer’s critique group. In 2009 she received a grant from the Highlights Foundation and subsequently attended their Chautauqua Writer’s Conference in upstate New York. She also has attended writing workshops and classes in Houston, San Antonio, Bryan, and Mississippi. She is currently writing a biography for young adults about a brave queen who fought for independence in the Indian Mutiny of 1857.
